Sharing With Those in Need

Sharing with those in need……this is so important to God that He even admonishes thieves to no longer steal, but to work, in order that they may have something to share with those in need. (Eph. 4:28)

I cannot ignore this.  If God desires even those who steal to work so that they’ll have something to share with the poor, how much more must He expect from those of us who don’t?  Giving and sharing with the poor is extremely important to God, therefore, it should be extremely important to us.

What are you doing so that you have something to share with those in need?   Sharing with those in need is not always about giving away our money.  It can look quite differently for all of us.  For some, we give away our time.  For others, it might be a talent.   Sharing our time and talents are just as valuable and often are even more of a sacrifice.

Can you volunteer to help someone read?  Can you volunteer to drive people to appts if you have a car?  Can you provide a meal for those who are hungry?

Think about what you have to offer today and make a plan to offer it.  Scripture is very clear; we’re to work so that we may have something to share.
