It’s a Miracle!

A week or so ago I received a call from a friend who frantically requested prayer for a someone she knows who was in a horrible car accident. Multiple broken bones, massive internal injuries, several tears to her heart. The doctors were not expecting her to make it one hour in the hospital.
Today, I received an e-mail telling me my friend’s friend is not only still alive, but she is recovering well. The doctors are amazed and openly call it a miracle. Very shortly, she’ll be transferred to a rehab center to begin the long process of physical therapy. She does have a bruise on her brain which has led to some short term memory loss, but that is expected to heal as well.
Psalm 138:8 tells us, “the Lord will fulfill His purpose for me. Your love endures forever, do not abandon the works of your hands.” Psalm 57:2 says the same thing, “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me.”
God has a purpose for all of those who call Him Lord. No matter what happens to us, nothing will be able to interfere with that purpose. He will do a miracle if that is what is necessary for his purpose to be fulfilled. We can rest in the fact that God is indeed in control of our lives and that He is a good God. Do you need a mountain moved? If it will fulfill His purpose for your life, He’ll move it. Do you need a valley to be raised up? If it will fulfill His purpose for your life, He’ll raise it up. He’ll make the rough ground level and the crooked path straight. After all, He is a God who still does miracles!

I never thought this would impact my life directly, now that it has, God is showing Himself to me, AGAIN! At the same time that I say “I can’t believe this!”, I know God is doing this! There are no other explanations for what is happening to Sandy, other than God has been hard at work with her… I thank you, Lord, for loving Sandy and helping me see You through her. Amen.
