My First Daily Pondering19 Feb

Welcome. Thank you for joining me for my first daily pondering. Like the devos, I pray these random thoughts will help you stay connected to God by processing, along with me, how God works in everyday life.  Watching God work in the lives of ordinary people never fails to give me the biggest thrill I know!

I was recently amazed at how God worked during a lunch I was sharing with a friend whom I had not seen in a long time.  Fairly certain she is not a believer, my prayer before I met her echoed Isaiah 65:1.  “I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me.”  Lord, I prayed, my friend might not even be looking for you, but would you please reveal yourself to her?

We had a wonderful time catching up with each others lives, as well as the goings on with a few of our mutual friends.  Although I simply stated I was very active in women’s ministry, I left it at that.  Just as we were ending our time together, she turned and said to me,”I don’t know much about God or the Bible.  You’ll have to teach me.”    Totally unprompted by anyone other than the Holy Spirit, God revealed Himself to her while she was not even looking for him!

That’s the kind of God we serve!  That’s the kind of God I’m talking about!
