Welcome to my website, Finding Hope in Him. This site exists for one sole purpose: to help you stay connected to God! Staying connected to God is what brings deep, meaningful and lasting hope to our lives for everyday living. My aim is to build a bridge that spans from the ancient world of the Bible to the modern world in which we live today. This is no easy bridge building project. But I am committed to carrying Biblical principles from both the Old and the New Testaments into our world of malls, business and technology.

I’m so glad you’re joining me.

The tools I use to build these bridges are the Bible, devotions, and daily ponderings. From these, you’ll glean a fresh and new understanding of God’s Word. You’ll discover Biblical principles that are current and relevant to your everyday life. The devotions are interactive, requiring your participation in both thought and actions.

The daily ponderings are my random thoughts, as I too, look for God’s presence in my everyday life. Quotes from Christian authors and snippets from books I’m currently reading are often included in this section. Together, we’ll discover the deeper hope God intends for us to have.

From the leader of a class in Heidleberg, Germany:

Just wanted to report in on the Desperate Housecries study we’re doing here in Heidelberg, Germany!! The class is going great!! Women are really starting to open up and share. There seems to be great relief when a lady realizes she is not the only one with a particular struggle, especially related to living overseas. The last time our class met, ladies stayed afterward to visit for an extra half hour!! Whoo hoo!!

I’ve always known that Christ should be the center of my life, but through this study I learned how to live a life that reflects this claim. It’s been refreshing, for both me and my husband, to not place my burdens on him. The Bible tells us to place them on Jesus. This study has helped me realize that more and how to apply it. The military context of this study has been so applicable and practical in my life right now. We’re a unique bunch of ladies and I appreciate that a study was written with our specific challenges in mind.
